I,v done the standard mod and fitted two small spots wired via the main beam so,s they come on when I turn the main beam on, and I used the diagram freely available on the board. BUT I would now prefer to run with the lights on all the time ie when I have my lights on dip, So what would be the best way to make this happen? simply to take my feed from the dip rather than the main?if so, what colour is the dip beam wire? any help greatly appreciated. Chris

Test the wire...

that goes into the back of the dip beam with a volt meter and simply connect into the one that reads live.

if you wire them to your dip beam, they'll go out at night when you flip to main, unless you wire to the sidelight feed, in which case they'll be on all the time, main and dip

Yup that's the best way and the way I did it. I have a separate switch mounted on the dash so I can turn them on or off independantly. I couldn't be bothered with the autoswitch route.

Thanks that what I needed to know side lights on all the time I already have them running off a seperate switch, so I can just trace back to a live wire? Thanks again. Chris

Just 2 questions my dip dont go off when I flip to main beam! should it? and on the side light the wires are real thin will they take the 10 amp draw? in comparason my 10 amp wireing is 4th bridge cable. thanks.

Thanks Roger I have a 10 amp fuse from the battery and the lights run through a relay already from the main beam so I guess that just by switching the feed from main to sides will be fine?
