Filtering - am I morally right with my aux lights?

Any particular part of the comment?
Pretty much all of it . 😜

ā€œWell engineeredā€ ? šŸ¤”

Not that well given the reported issues on here and elsewhere.

ā€œUseful addition to the bike for all , regardless of height ā€œ.

Very useful if you want an overly heavy bike that you can’t manage without aids to lower it for you to get on and off and put your feet down at stops.
Personally I’d rather get a more manageable bike that was a bit lighter and lower.

But if you need the biggest and heaviest then BMW have made it easier for you .

I drive a car in the uk very regularly and have seen how car and motorcycle users interact . And it’s ā€˜you’re’ 😜
Ahh right so besides being a pedant you are a mind reader as well knowing "car drivers hate bikers in the UK" even though you are not even riding here.. Won are there no ends to your talents. You are a typical example of the fact, a huge message count in a group like this is no indication of intelligence. On the contrary it is as you so clearly show, a clear indication of who the trolls are.

Opinions are varied as always - buy you (Arsey) seem to spend an inordinate amount of time commenting on
- a bike you don't like
- lights you don't own
- people you don't know

Seems a strange use of your time, if you don't mind me saying.

GS and A are heavy - but brilliant at what they do.
Adaptive height can go wrong but is brilliant 95% of the time.
Hard luggage is great to lock up stuff when travelling (even just to Tescos)
Lots of great bikes out there - we can all choose what we want for all sorts of personal reasons. For me nothing else does what the GS can do as well.

NB - this thread was about filtering by the way. Maybe you could try it sometime.

You’re right . Message count has nothing to do with intelligence. But being literate could be viewed as such a measure .
Please pop back in another five years to double your post count 😘

I was merely replying to a comment on a smilie 😜

I like mine as well! And yes, I have the adaptive ride height, the ASA, the luggage now with stickers, the extra bags......not sure why all the fuss.....each to his own and so it should be....dont have to justify it to anyone except myself ....and the Missus when I want to buy a replacement.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I had a guy in France driving some ''souped up'' golf GTI... he kept slamming in his brakes in front of me. Eventually getting out and shouting at me and my riding pal - les Fue's! Les Feu's.......Rode past him thinking what the fuck is his problem.....now i understood.... he didnt like the spots on my then 1250 GSA.......

Why not adjust them so they don’t blind oncoming traffic?
They dont :blast

the mains have been set on a beam setter, and the lonriders to loneriders setting spec, and turned down

There just bright, light envy i guess, as i said, they soon stop flashing once i give a quick flick of high beam :)

The GS/As do seem to lift quite a bit on acceleration so it could be as the front rises that those flashing you see them.

I have done that once and it was as scary as feck.
Bikes were filtering at 50mph plus some, the biggest problem was from other bikes.
They did make it look like the dark arts
That’ll be Mrs Berin. She does get fed up with others bikers tarting about and blocking the way.

Not sure what the sticky out tongue face means but I will roll with it.....

All I can say is that my bike has it fitted and it works exactly as it should. I do not recognise any of those faults on mine.

At 6'2" I have no issues flat footing the bike whether the suspension is raised or lowered. The bike is heavy, of course it is but it isn't overly heavy. It's actually significantly lighter than the model it replaced. Get any bike past its tipping point though and you aren't going to stop it falling. The lower CoG of the GSs actually helps with that. I believe BMW fitted AVHC to open the bike up to shorter riders, not sure what the issue is with that? The more GSers the better!

Your personal preference of what bike you ride is just that, personal. The same as everyone else's personal preference on here who made a choice to buy a BMW. Why you continually rant about how poor a bike the BMW is beyond irritating, but I sense you know that, hence your continuous drivel on the topic.

The GSA isn't the biggest and heaviest, there are plenty of bikes out there which are significantly heavier and a manufacturer 'making it easier for you' is a good thing isn't it? Talking of heavy bikes though, the Honda GoldBling which I believe you ride, is a whole 156kg heavier than a GSA in standard guise. That's about the same as two decent sized pillions constantly sharing the bike with you. Honda, as a manufacturer made that bike easier to handle by fitting a reverse gear such is its bulk. With a seat height of only 29 inches it also means that even trolls can ride one.

Those arseholes that refuse to move when you catch up to them when filtering need to learn some courtesy and move aside and let the quicker/confident riders pass.

My sincere apologies . I’ve only just realised this thread is in the non-humour section .
Wrongly assumed it was in the Pub as it was a general question about rights and wrongs of filtering with blazing lights . Should have sussed it was in the 1300 section as it was about a GS with Denial lights . šŸŽ¢

Trot back to the pub then and annoy people there.
