Chap's, i've read on here somewhere that there is a aux socket under the seat on the LHS... I maybe thick but can't seem to find this. Mine is an early 13 model so not sure if these were fitted on later models. Any direction or a pic would be very usefull. Thank's in advance.

Cheers

I believe that it is under the seat "area" at the rear left not actually under the seat.

Look upwards at about rear foot peg position and you should see it

That's where it is on a TC but the LC has it up front on the right of the dash (on a 2013 model anyway).

yeh, my previous GSA 1200 09 model had it under the seat, mine is a 13 LC and I can't find one or any blanked off socket. So, does anybody know what the blanked off socket under the front aux socket is for ? It's on the same side as the aux socket but about 4" lower at the bottom of the plastic... a sat nav power supply ?

There are some 12v aux terminals under the LHS black triangular panel (thats what I've connected my Optimate/power take off lead to) You could certainly connect a socket to these but its not fitted as standard on the LC GS

yeh, I seen this, but not too keen as its not switched... it's permanently powered up.

What do you want to use it for? I wired my auxiliary light relay up to a plug under the front seat, by the height adjuster. Pull a cap off it & there are 2 fuses in there. One is certainly switched with the ignition.

it's for a heated waistcoat... that time of year ! Yes I have seen this connector, but I think its the fuses for the 2 aux connectors at the front of the bike ?

DaveTez,

Have you had any issues using this for your optimate ? I've got a standard optimate 4 ... I always see them plugging the 'canbus' optimate for beemers. Be interesting to hear how long you have used it for.

Cheers

I've had no issues so far on two GSLCs since 2013. My optimate is a non can-bus model Optimate 3+ supplied via Triumph. (Think my 1050ST, 1050Tiger & 800xc Tiger were Can-bus? & didnt use a specific can-bus charger)
I assumed the can-bus specific chargers were only for connection via the handlebar power socket.
Surely, a battery is a battery & if connecting direct to it, it wouldn't matter what type of charger you use?
