AUXILARY POWER BLOCK HELP

I am looking to fit an auxiliary power fuse block , to fit my electrical goodies to.
The problem I'm having is finding a place to put it on the bike where i can get to it easily .
The size is roughly (4"long 2" wide 2" high).The bike is an 1150 GS.
All help much appreciated.

If you haven't got ABS there is loads of space under the tank.

Do away with the crappy toolbox and put it there.

It's a fuse box from a Honda Hornet wired in to the main wiring loom (switched - only live with ignition on) that I use for low current accessories including my Autocom, Garmin Zumo, and low current feed to the relay associated with my driving lights (via an autoswitch on indicator cancel). I have two spare output fuses ready for additional toys.

Total cost of £10 for the fusebox and relay on eBay :thumb

The relay just above the main GS fuse bank (main beam relay from a Honda Hornet) is for my Aux lighting. The single in line fuse next to the relay is the high current fuse for the Aux lighting.

Things can get very wet under there whe the tray is gone. :blast

Sorry should have been more clear. I didn't mean scrap the entire box, just get rid of the tools then dremel out some of the lumpy bits and stuff in aux fusebox, relays, autoswitch etc.

Someone on Advrider did it ...

Like what GS7A has done though, very neat :thumb2
 
As Yossarian suggests, keep the tool tray but make better use of it. I would think that your fuse box is about the same sime as my Autocom?

My post wasn't a warning to others so much as an admission of guilt, I was just saying it because I water
damaged my bluetooth transciever and power-regulators, (didn't keep the tool-tray):blast.

I never see these threads till it's too late. :D


Very neat idea using the tray, I'll go dremmeling.
