I'm having some auxiliary light mounting brackets made up to fit the F650 gs and Dakar.

They will carry the lights next to the beak and will rotate with the steering.
I don't have any pictures just yet but will get some up as soon as possible, bearing in mind that the prototypes are currently at the fabricators.

These brackets are made of steel with a powder coat black finish.

The expected price will be £43.00 posted to the UK and Northern Ireland. This could go down if enough people want them.

If your interested PM me.

I'll post this on the 650 section as well.

Update

Hi just an update of progress.

Unfortunately the engineering shop saw me coming  and thought 'Profit'.

Their quote was err? unacceptable. We could ship them from the States cheaper.

So I'm now looking for another fabricator who can make them for us at a sensible price.

Keep an eye on this thread if your interested, I'll post again when I have more positive news

Hey presto a light bar:augie

I made meself one a couple of years back but without all that technical tooling - just a hand drill and a hacksaw, but it wasn't ideal so I took it off again.

Well I'm afraid to say the light brackets have come to a grinding halt for now :nenau

Finding someone who is willing to make them without ripping my arm off is like finding the proverbial golden egg. I did come close, but the guy is overloaded with new contracts, so is unwilling to play just now. I might try him again later in the year.

Another alternative is to make a bulk order from the states. This would save on shipping and postage. It would need at least 6-10 orders for it to be of any benefit discount wise.

Let me know if your interested and I'll make some enquirers.

Hi Val what sort of price would it be based on the 6 - 10 people?

Well I can't say for definate as I haven't got a price from the supplier yet. But working things out form his retail prices and adding 20% for vat and import duty, gives me a price of a little under £50.00.

This is an outside figure as far as I see it and will more than likely be lower in real terms when you consider that it will be a bulk order which should qulify for a good discount.
