Wonder if you could all help, I'm having a problem with one of my Aux lights?

The lights turn on using the switch on the left handlebar, the left light stays on but the right Aux light only stays on for around 10 secs and then switches itself off, the left light however stays on. Do you think this could be a loose connection or is it a sign of a failing light?

if I have to replace the lights I will most likely buy a set from eBay as considerably cheaper than OEM BMW, can anyone foresee problems doing this as sure they should be fairly simple to rewire the connectors to fit?

Thanks for any advice:)

Swap them over to see of the problem stays on the RHS or not. That way you'll know if it's a duff light or the problem's with the power supply to it.

Good idea I`ll give that a try when home, I remember having an intermittent light a while ago which cleared itself and pretty sure it was the left one the time.

If you go aftermarket, can't recommend Colights enough. About £75 the pair (3" LA5'S), delivered in 3-4 days.

Thanks for the heads up on these they sound ideal , are they plug and play or do I need to wire them into the bike?

I’ve swapped the lights over and the fault has transferred so its definitely the light which is failing.

I’ve taken the lights off and wondered if there is a plug and play option that will still work from the original handlebar switch?

I’ll try out a picture of the connection, I’ve noticed there are 3 wires going into the plug and most lights online just have 2 wires coming out of them.

Does anyone know of a plug and play option?
