Thank you good sir. Still trying to decide course of action and also putting together parts list as build progresses. I may miss out on that 10% ouch.
I've taken the oil cooler of my bike about 6 years and 6500 miles ago to no ill effect..

Is the Mac unit a spacer or complete sump in its own right?
I've never seen a MAC oil pan before.
The big HPN "spacer" is not meant to be used with a sump, there is supposed to be a over sized plate which bolts to the bottom of the spacer and forms both the "sump" bottom and acts as a guard for the bottom of the motor - with the stock sump guard in place below the stock sump the oil runs about 10 degrees hotter than if it is removed , and HPN must find it beneficial to have the oil a little cooler.
I've never seen a MAC oil pan before.
Neither had I until about 2 minutes ago.
