When editing my profile I can't see any options for adding a custom avatar. I've just joined the site fairly recently and I'm a registered user. Some other registered users appear to have custom avatars, so am I missing something obvious? I've picked up from reading other threads that you may have to be a site sponsor, but that may not explain why some other registered users have custom avatars unless they used to be sponsors or site functionality has changed over time. Could someone please enlighten me. Many thanks.

Quick Links - Edit Profile and you should see Edit Avatar on the left hand side.

OK guys, thanks for the confirmations. Still not sure how some Registered Users appear to have managed to get their own custom avatars, but no matter.

Not being great on PCs meself, but I think you'll have to join something like Photobucket where you can download your own images into a suitable avatar size. Although I must admit, mine was done for me by Warthog.

no.... doesn't matter where you put the pic it won't load if you're not a sponsor.... others may have loaded them while they were sponsors but have let there sponsorship lapse AFAIK
