Why is it when I use Internet Explorer or Yahoo the avatars don't move about? e.g. BTBR's boobies are quite motionless. However if I use Firefox everything jiggles as it should.

It could be that when you use the first two, your head wobbles at exactly the same rate as the motion of the avatars, thus remdering them motionless, but not with the Firefox, hence animation.
Then again, there could be another reason....

On IE click 'Tools' , 'Internet Options' , 'Advanced' , then about half way down under 'Multimedia' make sure the 'Play Animations In Web Pages' is checked. If itn not that ........ I Dunno.
