Has anyone tried the Avon Azaro front, Storm rear that "BIKE" raved about a few months back? My brother has them on his R1200S and is very enthusiastic about them, but I wondered how they translated on the GS?

They are a complete transformation of what is allready a fine handling bike.

Excelent in all conditions, am now on my second rear tyre the first having covered 7k miles.

Actually I am on my third rear tyre the second one had been on for 350 miles and I picked up a nail.

Telephoned Avon as I had read somwhere about a gurantee, sure enough as long as you have not used more than 1 mm of tread you get a new one free of charge.

Top Company.

Hi Bertie,

I also fitted this combo as a result of the Bike Mag. artical.

I was originally happy with the Dunlop originals but can't overstate the benefit in handling and the increase in confidence that the Avons have given.

Highly recommended.

Yes I do run them at at 36/42 with no problems. These were the recommended presures from the Avon website.

Happy motoring....

Pete.

Fantastic, bike handles even better with this combo, tips in so easily so don't get caught out.

2.5/2.9 bar what ever that is in the old fashioned money ?

Avon is now part of Cooper Tires and has the benefit of huge investment
:D

Havve to admit they do sound good and am tempted to try them next.

Before I do, has anybody used them on fully loaded, three figure M-way high mileage days - what are they like, particuarly the high speed tracking/stability :nenau

I'd done about 6000 miles on the that combination before the rear started to square off. Not sure how long it would have lasted due to a large nail tearing the edge of the tread. Good stability loaded up in Europe, and cracking wet weather grip when in the UK...
