How does the 990 compare to the GS? I also have a 1200GS but Im reluctant to buy another due to unreliability. The Ktm 990 looks well made. I had a test ride but was only allowed 45mins! waste of time really time you put some fuel in and get going its time to return! Anyway on my brief ride I noticed how snatchy the throttle was and didn't like this. Im also not sure how the seat would feel after a few hours.

Would like to hear your opinions about your new bike.

Throttle snatch will be cured with a throttle cam and 16 tooth front sprocket
also putting a set of Akro's on it during first service and the bike gets remapped and all will be well.
Extremely impressed already and am haveing more fun than I did on the GS, as for comfort I got a ktm gel seat off ebay for £25
The gel seat is stAndard on the 990 I think and an Ironing board comes on the S
No regrets whatsoever
