our trip
the first stop was the falkirk Wheel. We´ve never seen it, so it´s time for it...
Next stop: the campsite of Blair Atholl. big, expensive, but very nice and a good point to start the daytrips to Rannoch Station, Loch Tay, killin, kenmore etc.
Up to Fort Augustus, daytrip Glen Quoich
than it was the third attempt to visit the Isle of Sky. But it´s raining cats and dogs, this Island hate us, definitely. so we went up to Gairloch to make a whale-watching-tour and a walk in the highlands.
Next stop Achmelvich. what a fantastic site, there we made another daytrip with the bike down to Coigach, Assynt, and the coastal-route to kylesku.
the last campsite was Scourie, but it´s just cold and wet. Last thursday there was fresh snow in the mountains...what a surprise about the temperatures
than we went back to the ferry in hull with a short stop in Glencoe and Carter Bar.
result: it was very nice in scotland again, same like the last 24 years, sometimes breathtaking views, sometimes wet and cold.... typical scotland.
