Just fitted my new to me final drive, it's the brand spanking new type with the breather fitted.

Off with the old....

and on with the new.........

Bearings 7 and 11 but I suspect 6,8,9 and 12 will be replaced in the rebuild project.

I'll have to take a trip to Woodies for some more MAGIC paint

I had to get magic paint for my FD on new 1200GSA after 18,000kms, pinion bearings let go. Replaced foc by dealer. I think not enough oil was added back at change @ 600kms. Very important to measure the oil and not to spill it, imho.
