Hi all

RTGSRTGSRTGSRT. I’ve been there and back so many times with a few other bikes in between.

Just ordered a new RT for March 1st delivery.

Managed to get a great deal from Cannons so couldn’t be more pleased.

Here she is….

I was going to choose a white one but they had this one in stock thus the good deal and I loved the colour.

Like those bars, not sure how you would fit risers though if required. Loads of options for the normal bars.

Nice. Same colour as mine. And bars are different to mine.
Out of interest why is there options on the bars ? Different heights/ positions ?

GS Risers may fit, I’ll have to look into that though I’m sure there will be a number of options.

Might be an option, but I've never needed risers for my RTs, so it was just a query. But do like those bars

First time I've actually seen what the tubular bars option looks like. Guess it would have made it slightly less of a faff to fit my Zumo XT :D

Couldn’t have picked a better day to pick her up.

Having the panniers covered in PPF as I always scuff them up.

That's very nice ... I keep playing with the RT on the configurator, so far have resisted the urge to try one.

What do the buttons marked 1-4 do? Always wondered

I believe they are shortcut buttons to various functions of the bike. Could be wrong though.

As above. Button 1 came setup for heated grips, so you don't have to go through the menu to switch them on. The others are also pre-set. Now I believe you can assign the buttons to what you want, haven't bothered with that. If you have the radio, the buttons control that.

I like the bars on that.
Wondering how they compare with standard bars ?

The main difference is the aesthetics imo thought they do have the advantage when it comes to fitting some accessories.

I’ve added bar risers to mine and a cup/bottle holder will be next….

Also I’m finding the BMW Connected App a lot more friendly than initially thus my Navigator VI is for sale.

With the recent software updates the 4 buttons are now user programmable for various functions. Also, the navigation now seems to work properly with my iPhone SE dedicated to the bike. I shall be keeping my Zumo XT however, as it is (for me) much more user friendly when, for example, selecting a destination when out on the road. Having to remove the phone from its cubby hole, put on my specs in order to read the small screen, faff about to set it up and then pop it back is all a bit of a pita. Fine it I just want to find a petrol station or other POI, but otherwise it'll be the Zumo with the connected app as a "backup". Although it works fine, the app still takes quite a time to fully re-connect after a stop, which is an annoyance when, for example, pulling out from a petrol stop in unfamiliar territory.
