Had a test ride on the 210 GSA at Vines today, Road my 58 over then took out the 210, Almost identical save for a slightly better low down & mid range Exhaust note was a lot louder {nicer) might be a little noisey for longer trips tho,I have spent a bit of time and money sorting out my bike decat headers bos end can pc and custom map etc so the difference is not as marked as a standard GS. The 210 really is a good improvement its what the 08 should have been its fueling is spot on gone are the flat spots and jerky low speed running better but not 5k better i will have one when my warranty runs out but wont be rushing out to sign up just yet!

2010GSA

Likewise, I am riding over to VinesSLM tomorrow to try the 2010 GSA currently have an 09 GSA with remus header and Akro pipe. I am interested to see if there is a lot of difference, however first offer is 5k to change, spec like for like, it would have to be very good for that.

I too spent some money to improve performance of my '07 GSA...

...I bought a '09 Ural Patrol :tarka

Every time I feel any flat spots or jerky low-end torque on my GSA, I ride the Ural for a week and the GSA compares like a fighter-jet :D

Seriously, the new 2010 DOHC engine has some interesting engineering marvels build in. But, I prefer the "old" engine at this point. Actually, just placed an order for a 2009 GSA at the ridiculous price of US$ 16,990 before tax (7% where I live). I think I will be happy for a while... :bounce1

I did notice that the end can can be changed on the 210 although its not the same as the previous models due to the exup valve in the end of the headers bmw want an eyewatering £708 for an akra can !

I have same opinion as Surmanator, for the little etxra preformance which I will not use why spend 5K +.

My 06 GSA is sorted, its is yellow but the far better yellow shared with the original GS12 (desert yellow), I have 2 pack sprayed re sub frame (courtesy of BMW) so no issues with crap paint,so why bother changed :nenau

If BMW had fitted the same cruise control as the RT I may have considered a move.

Until you have an accident, the insurance company finds one fitted and it "may" have contibuted to the accident, not so cheap then.

2010gsa

Well test rode it today in the light snow. It's very nice lovely sound, first beemer that I wouldn't be tempted to change the pipe on. Good mid range between 2 and 5, lovely sound, oh I said that already. They have move the digital gear indicator from the right to the left and also switched sides for the temp and fuel gauge. Not enough for 5k, I'll wait a bit, but it is very very nice.
