Back up restore - Help

Hi

I recently had a new hard drive installed due to the failure of the previous. Like a good boy I have been backing up on an expansion drive via Norton 360.

The problem is when I try to restore the files, Norton freezes and I get this message;............Can anyone help?

I tried to help with this but when I googled this its all over the internet like a rash with no real resolution. Unfortunately the most consistent fix for this seems to be to copy the restore files onto the root of another USB drive along with the portable restore version of the latest Norton 360. Not the best solution but it has worked in some cases.
Can I suggest whether you get your data back or not you ditch Norton and go get yourself a free copy of Paragon http://www.paragon-software.com/home/db-express/download.html
