Just rang Bennets, the UK's No. 1 Bike Insurance specialist, to get a quote for my 1150 GSA to be told "sorry sir, computer says no"
Apparently the only two 1150 bikes are the RT and the R. :blast
I then asked to speak to her supervisor who said sorry but I should check my logbook:confused:
Theres me thought I had a 1150 GSA SE and according to Bennets, the UK's No1 bike Insurance Specialist it doesn't even feckin exist.
Asked them to check for a 1100GS and guess what, that doesn't exist either
WTF?:nenau

They'll fix it pretty quickly when they start losing business...

Entertaining, my bike which is the same is insured by bennetts

You mean i've spent the last few years saving up and got a bike that doesn't exist!!!!!!!!!

Talk about living the dream :blast

I always put R1150GS or R1150GSA and never had a problem, Im with Bennets as well :D
Just checked logbook and its R1150GS and insurance cert says R1150GS

Tell the sales-person on the phone to scroll down to the bottom of his/her list and your bike will be found there. For some reason its not listed in a logical order!!!!

I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago and they found it eventually. I am now insured with them.R1150GSA

Good luck,Ali.

There's a lesson to be learnt - If an insurance company is that incompetent on a simple renewal, then have a think what's in store should you need to make a claim. ;)

Maybe, thats the point of it maybe they've had a lot of claims on these bikes recently and no longer want to insure them. Like Adrian Flux did a few years ago on my L200 when they trippled the price on renewal.

This is the problem, above, if you dont know what bike you own how do you expect them to!! she even told you they do an R !!! ring them again with the correct letters for your bike and you will get the quote you want.

Sounds quite simple Ali. But NO :blast
I gave them another chance and they still couldn't find it. Tried telling me my bike was 1170cc but surely thats the 1200. We did eventually find a 2004 GSA but it wouldn't let them change it to 2005 :blast
Apparently their "bike expert" is in on monday and they're gonna ring me then

Good news chaps :clap

Our new 'stealth' bikes should be worth a fortune to the US military.......this time next Rodney......we'll be millionaires! :D

Until then ignor all speeding tickets etc...

That is indeed what they're called... can't understand the number of folk that refer to their bikes as GS1150/GS1200 etc :rob
