Bad News - Good News

Just heard some bad news from an old friend that he is having to go in to hospital next week to have a pace maker fitted and he won't be able to ride for two weeks thereafter

The good news is he has a brand new Superduke R that needs running in and I have the key

Sounds like fun. Well...it is fun actually (not the pace maker bit). Is he desperate for it to be run in quickly...or is he quite mad?

Has the bike any ginge on it? I would worry if it has as you would be likely to matt black it prior to riding it (or some other obscure colour from a very small palette you are ok with).

Oh no..he didn't buy a black one did he. They're the slow ones. Ginge adds 10bhp.
