Looking to get an 1100 gs for the wife is there a bad year & anything to look for out of the usual
bad year for 1100's

well i have the 1200 & a lot of you have worked up the gs line + can't find an 1100 section 
The first couple of years they had g'box and clutch seal 'issues' - no doubt all fixed by now.
Get the latest one for the money - they're all good.

Fair enough
I'll stick a few jokes in this forum as well then. People here must have a sense of humour after working up the gs line + then owning a 1200.

Make sure it is post 97 as most of the issues were sorted about this time, I had a 96 model and there was a lot of clutch problems, and the gearbox used to jump out of gear sporadically in 3rd and 4th for about a millisecond, very disconcerting in the twisties!
