Baglux Bag?

Hi All,
Awaiting arrival of Baglux tank cover as I don't want to scratch the go faster yellow paint job.But whilst ordering the cover the sales person seemed to be very vague as to what bag is best on a 1200gs!
My last bike being a FJR1300 had a athena bag 29ltrs which was just fine for odds and sods and resting against But the sales person said this was not a good choice as the tank shape did not lend itself to this choice of bike!So I said what bag was good on the gs and there it all got a bit confusing some bags have a tendancy to push the rider away from the bars which is not good for a shorty like me So my question is this which baglux bag is best? Or does someone allready use a baglux bag if so which one?Advice would be greatfully received

I bought an Athena bag and found that it sat too far back on the tank, and caught the horn button on full lock. Very embarrasing!
I have since bought a Ropongi bag which is better, although only available in black. Also because I'm a bit of a meddler, I've moved the fittings on the tank cover forward by a couple of inches. A lot of work. I wouldn' t recomend it. Overall the Ropongi suits the 1200GS better than the Athena, but it is smaller and not expandable. My general feeling is that Bagster havn't tried very hard with the 1200.

It all depends on how much you want to carry really

But have a look here to see how to convert a Touratech bag to fit a Baglux cover.

They are much better than any Baglux tank bags IMHO

That said, I have just ordered a "City Road" tank bag from them, ok its only 8 litres capacity, but it should be big enough for day trips I would have thought?
