Bahnstormer service

I am a happy camper with the service I received at Bahnstormer this week. Only two days notice for them to fit in my GS service and they promised to do it while I waited.
On the day they took my bike in on time and completed within the hour. The staff were friendly and polite and the coffee was ok too.
Now that you can watch the work being carried out it makes you feel that bit more involved.
All in all I was well pleased with the experience and I hope this is a good sign for the future.

As a matter of interest, My GS is due for a 18k service, How much was Bahnstormer? SPC used to do some good deals on servicing older bikes - i wonder if the prices are still keen?

Both of you, if you have 1150s, might like to try Barry Barber in Portsmouth. His labour rate is a fraction of a main dealer, he's factory trained, and a pernickety worker. Your bike would be in very safe hands.

He'll also arrange to collect/deliver for a very modest cost. A good few from the site use him with total satisfaction.

I second the recommendation for Barry Barber - he was 1/2 the price that Bahnstormer quoted and he came and collected my bike as well (and I live 30 miles away) - at exactly the time we agreed and did a great job on it too

does Barry work on the 1200 too? I've about a year left of warranty but had a service from Bahnstormers about 3 mths ago so will be looking for someone good/local for servicing next year. If Barry comes reccommended I'll give a go.

Good to have another independent name. I think this time around I'll use Brian (he's been a star so far!), but might give Barry a try next time.
