BAKERY OFF ROAD EVENT

I have a few coming down from the shop Steve. please don`t make a pass at them!!!

I will dig out some unsafe fire damaged tat I have been unable to sell all year!

Hope to make it depending on what the doctors say as I managed to break my wrist yet again......twice this year and 3 times in 15 months. Will be 6 weeks the day of the event so hopefully healed and hopefully have an "easy" trail as I can't knacker it again, the local hospital is allready considering naming an x-ray machine after me.

Personally, I would say give it more time to heal. I broke my wrist last year and at my age (50) it takes longer to heal than if you are a very fit teenager. I rode again and continued to make it worse meaning that I had to miss a whole years off-roading in 2013. Its not just the bone mending but also the tendons around the bone in my case.

It would be good to have you there Grez but wisdom speaks above.

I have hired a van and will be leaving Saturday afternoon. If anyone from Stoke fancies a lift down let me know, should fit 3 of us in with bikes.
Van's paid for, contribution to fuel welcome :thumb

Thank you very much, Keith

Please have a read, the Land Wardens do a great job, keeping the idiots out, as we are all adults I beg you to help keep this ride on year after year, by acting like adults, if you can`t read please have somebody a parent or Guardian read it to you, as I have.

We are ready for you to have a great day out.

Thank you again Keith

It's not just the land wardens that are out to get you, so don't forget insurance, MOT and road tax!

Good advice, being 50 myself and having broken way too many bones over the years, it does take a bit more time as you get older. Visit to the hospital last week and the doc took off the straping (I talked them out of a cast after the first few days) and, as I can make a fist and bend my wrist, pronounced me healed. Doing physio and massage to get it moving. It is way better than last time I broke it so I think the doctors cocked up and at worst it was a hairline fracture. Will monitor progress and decide after Christmas if I am fit or not.

guides please, needed, no charges FREE for guides :thumb2

Steve,

Where are you planning on serving lunch, just so those planning routes can ensure they turn up with groups before the doughnuts disappear and the soup gets cold.

Might head out on the 27 or 28th for a trial run as it's been at least 6 months since i was last out.

Nathan

I can't get the DR650 ready in time so I'll be down on the GS on road tyres:eek: I'll crash overnight in the Marquee and then see what the weather is like and maybe do some green lanes. if anyone else wants to join me on the tarmac, you'd be more than welcome :thumb2
