BAKERY OFF ROAD EVENT

Steve, mmmm, health n safety police here.

There's a bit of an issue with the marquee, I don't see any poles for the dancing girls :nenau

If one should fall over due to the lack of pole, I will not be held responsible if she immediately puts on a lot of weight and ends up pregnatised :D

See ya tomorrow peeps:thumby:

That's a posh tent fer a bunch of dirt bikers. Flip the poles been removed to stop gaz from pole dancing, you know what he's like he'll do anything fer a shag. Don't forget to lock yer doors on the van when you go to bed unless you fancy drunken man love.

Well what a cracking day that turned out to be! For the first time in as long as i've been helping with this i actually led a group size in single figures!

A good start to the day, but freezing temperatures for most of the previous night ment the ground was like concrete, and very unforgiving.

I had to stop half way through the first lane to defrost my fingers on the exhaust, but once the first hour of trails was out of the way things seemed to get a lot more pleasant.

I've given up trying to ride a pre-planned route on these days as it invariably goes tits up within the first half hour, but we had a good ride around the trails just East of Chalkpit hill, across the Amesbury road and over to Larkhill race course, before heading north on the trails up to the tank graveyard, via a very long rutty track.

A quick breather before heading west to Tilshead for a coffee and fuel for those that needed it before turning south and riding the network of trails between Tilshead and the A303, and then onto lunch :D

The route home was around the northern perimeter road, exiting at Netheravon and dropping into Bulford for fuel. Out of Bulford we headed North and back onto the plain just east of Tidworth for the blast home.

We didn't get back late, which was just as well, some of the military roads were getting very icey, especially the last climb up to Ludgershall.

All in all a good day- heres to next year :beer:

Thank you Nathan and all £3240 raised and a fantastic day, Andover Rotary club were stars holding out signs, and packing the car park with 106 bikes, thanks to you lot and The Bell Inn for everything.

2014 maybe we should Pre book the Premiere Inn

+1

Woo that were slippy!

Thanks to Gaylord for the first half of the day and thanks to Nathan for putting up with us in the afternoon. Sorry for needing fuel :tosser that I am.

Big up to Bilko who rode like a demon on his 1200adv with road rubber, stupid, but very well ridden.

Thanks to all the guys for making this such a cracking event. Just totted up the cost and it's not a cheap event for me to attend, but it is such great fun.

Final thanks to Steve, the staff and his wonderful family. Without your hard work, generosity and tolerance for idiots, loons and feckwits like myself the day would never happen and I wouldn't have had such a great time.

Ooh, nearly forgot, thanks to Maccy D's for letting me have my morning poo in their toilets :D

Brilliant day Steve and thanks again to Skygod for leading our band of brothers. I probably slowed things up a bit but maybe a GSA on road tyres wasn't ideal for the day. Stayed on board though apart from a minor "rest" in some grass. -5 degrees to start the day but glorious blue skies and scenery.

Holy crap, sorry I sent you out in that, I left at 10.30 just shows what an hour of Sun does, did`nt look that bad.

Thank you for attending as it makes it all worth while for me to rally the helpers.

ALSO £3K for the Gateway, is amasing, they can afford to go up The Thames and back down now.

Thanks to Flip for going to Mc Donalds will ask them for showers for next year.

Great day, thank you...

I tagged onto a group led by George I think (KTM with a blue roll bag on the back) - perfect choice of trails just the right side of my competence:thumb

I arrived home happy and tired to this - Yummy

Fantastic day Steve, well done. Thanks to Skygod for leading the group and massive respect to Sgt Bilko, excellent effort and brilliant riding, methinks I slowed the group way more than you did. Despite a few offs I managed to get round without breaking myself or the bike, a first. Excellent effort all round, on the to do list for 2014.

Well done Bakes for another great event. I led group 4 and started with 17 bikes but I soon whittled that down to 7 :blast.

We had a seized engine (hope it wasnt terminal who-ever that was) but we towed him to a pub to drown his sorrows,
A few punctures, a flooded bike that refused to run at anything off idle, A drowned bike by the rider not looking where they were going :), A lost rear end somewhere on the trail outside Camp Redhorn and a free-ride that had a flat battery and needed recovery,

All in all, a typical Loddon TRF ride out :thumb2. Great grub and thanks mrs bakes for holding back the lardy cakes for us lardy's.

Didn't manage to record much due to issues with the camera. Was planning on filming you but you struggled to keep up with Chris and I didn't want to hang about in the cold waiting for you.
