How true, 6 of us down in 10 seconds, that's me in the white helmet on the 950SE just after repairing the holed clutch cover with Steptoe's gaffer tape.

Ah yes, the day I dislocated my little pinky as the #2 slider! Put me down again please - Losttheplots party :D

I'll do the same as the other years in the 4x4 and sweep up any fallers while eating bacon rolls with the heating turned full on. :D

See that road surface, thats ice that is

I even had to turn up the heating a notch in the 4x4 :D

Can I ride shotgun please - I'm too FAT AND UNFIT to ride :D

Just found this. I'm interested, but can't get hold of the decider at the moment and I'm sure she'd want to come along. She's a total newbie on an F800GS with Heidenau K60 on. I'm on the same sort of bike, but with very rusty off-road skills. And, it's 1h10 as transport to Andover.

We'll see. :thumb2

Preparation ?

Just done the oil & filters on the EXC450 in preparation.

Wondering what to bring, thought of these:

Spare innertubes & tyre levers/pump
A few spare common sized bolts/spanners
Spare chain link clip
Basic first aid kit
Camelbak for rehydration
Money for fuel and fees
Cellphone for emergency use

Anything else I might need ??

Obviously food & maps would be surplus to requirements.

Is there room nearby to park a car and trailer securely ?? (I don't relish the hours ride home afterwards in the cold and dark on a pogo after a days riding.)

Oil, Haynes workshop manual

Providing the weather allows us to travel down the A34 and to Andover at about 7am, then we'll be there. That's yours truly and CrazyCaz. :bounce1 :clap

Anyone wanting somewhere to stay over, I can recommend the Cricketers.

Very nice rooms, excellent food and drink, friendly staff and happy to have bikes and trailers in their large car park. I've stayed there a few times with bike and its a great place.:)

Okay on an 800gs with battlewings?

I'm on an 800GS but hybrid tyres (battlewings) only - not knobbies - but very keen to come. Have done plenty of off road stuff on a small Yamaha in Oz with off road tyres, though, but this would be my first time on the big bike. Would the trail be okay with this set up? Any advice appreciated lads.
Cheers,
Jon.
