Group D

Great Day out with great company and great food. My group (Group D) were excellent and we covered around 110 miles all told. I think there were some piccys taken so we'll see them shortly.

Thanks to Mrs Bakes for being mum to 100 hairy (and lairy) bikers and seeing us fed and watered. Hope Dino isn't put out that we took over his car park.

That was a brilliant day. Thanks to Bakerman and all for organising and Frank for leading our group, conditions were *interesting* for the big SE but I really enjoyed it. Amazingly I didn't fall off although gravity had the bike off me a couple of times..

Interesting to see the lost village!

Fantastic result with the money! :D

Just got home and quite bolloxed now!:)
Big thanks to Steve for the day and Mike for leading his group around. Some good riders in our group, good to meet you all.
Roll on next year.:thumb2

Few pics to follow.

Big thanks to Bakes and the team for organising a fantastic day:bow

Massive thanks to Gaz (Skygod) for not raping me on the way home and for being such a good chap:thumb

Thanks to all the group leaders for giving up their time to lead us round. Group A ride was epic :clap

All in all a fantastic day out. Now up at 3am with a stiffy. That's stiff arms, legs, back etc:D

Thanks again:thumb

Great Day

Thanks to everyone who was involved in running the day, it was excellent, also thanks to Mike for leading group D the route was a good mixture of mud, more mud, water, more water and some gravel.

Cheers, David:clap

Dave, thanks for tail ending - even if you didn't get seconds at the lunch stop ...

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't lose Steve's little TY70. It went through everything, including the deepest bogs. When he filled it up with fuel at lunch he only put in around £3 to brim the tank. Must be around 100mpg.

Must be getting me an offroad C90 I think.....

Did anyone from Group A notice notice what was lost during the afternoon?

Bakerman: thanks for organising yet another excellent day on the plain. :thumb

What was lost? Was it the ability to have children after a bag crash that broke the crown jewels??

Anyway, great day, good groups, friendly banter, and great behaviour! And most importantly i don't think they're were any really bad accidents - despite the worst weather on the plain for many years.

Great result on the money, hope the pub made some money from or drinks afterwards.

Well done baker man.

Ps - didn't lose any of my group of riders or MY TAIL END CHARLIE either. Is that what you were hinting at Possu??

:-) :-) ;-)

Two tail enders? (although the second one was found again.) ;)

Hi Guys, I was tailend Charlie in Group A up until just after the fuel stop. We found Moly on his HP2 att eh side of the round with a rear puncture. We stopped to help as we were carrying tools. With some help from some of the guys in Group A we soon had a full array of kit, tubes and electric tyre inflators to get Moly on his way again.

We put a new tube in and inflated to 30 psi. That should do it. The guys headed off to the lunch stop with instructions to tell MikeF that I was going to accompany MOly to the fuel station and then back to the Bell Inn.

Well, that was the plan. After less than 1km there was a massive "pop" and Moly's rear tyre had blown out and was off the rim - Bugger.

It was decided that I would ride back to the Bell - dump my bike in my van and then drive Moly's van to pick him up.

I drove back about 30 miles to the Bell and I can tell you the Yam450 is no touring bike ;-) and I froze.

Anyway, by the time I had picked Moly up and we had got back to the Bell most of you guys were already back and having a pint or coffee.

Thanks to BakerMan for a good day out and great trails.

See you all again soon.

Burt
