Yea it works fine here too Dave.

I suppose you need an Adobe Reader update.
You can get it for free here.

Cheers,
Michel

Thats weird, i can open the Dutch version but not the english one!

Thats strike 3 for this machine., I'll get IT to bring me down a new PC.:) I'll read it later.
Cheers
Dave

The English one worked for me - Acroobat 7

The guys who did the "Oilhead Valve Adjustment for Dummies" have also done an equally comprehensive "Oilhead Throttle Body Synching for Dummies" which is available at all good Advrider Hall of Wisdom sites - or direct to it here.

I now have both MiGSel's version and this one, all I need now is my Twinmax and oooooh about a day to do the valve adjustment and throttle balancing (I may be slow but I'm thorough).

Yup, worked on my home PC just fine. Nice write up too. I didn't know about making sure there was slack on the cable at the h/bar end..:)

I look forward to trying out the new twinmax when it arrives! I'll let you know how I get on with it and what, if any, difference it makes.:)

if you can't do valves, throttle body balancing and an oilchange in 1/2 hr you'll never make it as a BM mechanic.

drain oil into bowl - leave to empty.

cordless drill and remove rocker covers.
ignition on - gently tap starter button till exhaust valves fully open - measure inlets
repeat for exhausts
repeat for other side.

refit valve covers using cordless drill.

change plugs - 2 mins

refit drain plug - no new washer - just 1/8 extra turn - remember to charge for new washer.

add 3 litres oil.

start bike - balance throttles - 5 mins max

adjust brass idle screws for increased idle to show somethings been done.

wipe outside of oil filter with oily rag.

increase tyre pressures to 36/42 so it 'feels' different to owner.

clean mirrors - likewise.

fill to correct oil level

fill out work card for 4 hours

tick all service items

charge £300

next bike please...

you think i'm joking, don't you ?

"lots of stuff"

Sadly, no. I dont!:( I hear way too many horror stories about Main Dealers. :( It's probably the reason I started this thread.

I'm amazed at the amount of these bikes that come out of a dealership running rougher than when they went in!

What stuff I dont do myself, I'll probably travel down to Steptoes to get done. :)

My Twinmax arrived yesterday and I used it last night. This machine is sheer bloody genius! I can’t believe how easy it is to use and what a difference it made to my bike!

Ok, my bike was way out of tune so the improvement was very noticeable, but the Twinmax is still a superb bit of kit. My carbtune went straight in the bin. Best £59.95 I've spent in a long time!

My idle balance was so far out it took 3/4 of a turn of the big brass screw to get the balance right:eek:

At 2.5k it wasn't very far out but the difference in such a slight adjutsment was astounding. My bike struggled to pulll past 5k and felt like it was actually misfiring! Pulls good and strong now. I also have throttle response and I am using less throttle to sit at speed than I was before!

My bike has been transformed from a lumpy gutless pig into a smooth(ish) raging bull!

The Twinmax get the prestigious Taipan 10/10 rating.
