Balancing throttle bodys

Isn't idle sync done on the big air screws on 11xx's? (With secondary sync on the cable adjusters for higher revs?

Idle sync is done on the throttle stop. Idle air is done with the big screw. Then sync the cables in to the bodies.
As for the duration issue. If you have a valve clearance of .3 on one exhaust valve and .5 on the other you will get uneven duration as the rocker will not contact at the same time one will definitely lift before the other thus uneven duration. Basic mechanics!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, I've always been given to believe that you shouldn't touch the throttle stops unless you're doing a zero=zero. They're factory set and don't need to be adjusted unless you refurb the TB's or change the butterfly etc.

Given that the butterfly stop and hence throttle opening is factory set, idle sync is done using the air screws with off-idle sync adjusted via the cables.

I'm sure someone who knows what they're on about will put me right if I've misunderstood....
