Balderstones V Rainbow

Thanx again chaps.
It's good to see so many positive reviews for Rainbow & no negatives.

On that basis I rang their service team yesterday & spoke to a chap who gave me some sensible answers to questions I've been trying to get answered by BMW Motorrad Customer Services & Pidcocks for 2 months without any joy. One 5 minute call was all it took.

I'll certainly take the bike there for her next service.

It also means I won't have to have the walk of shame into Balderstones with my head down, having previously told them they'd never have the chance of getting my business. (Once again my big mouth & short temper let me down). :hide

Yep but hardly any further than Peterborough and you get to eat Jonos donuts for free :)

Eh?

From Google Maps

Lincoln to Peterborough - 51 miles

Lincoln to Rotherham - 44 miles

Lincoln to Swinton, Manchester - 107 miles

Which school of Maths and Geography do you subscribe to?

Astle in Grimsby. They have a new manager there called Steve who is spot on and is doing a great job at rejuvenating the bikes side. Phil the technician is an ex TT racer and really knows his BMW stuff !!

Watch out Rainbow and Balderstons the underdog is biting back

I have allways used rainbow

However
My 1150 RT is due its big service ,all fluids ,gear box ,drive, bleed servo etc etc

I got a price from Rainbow then for some reason I gave Allan Jefferies a ring

They said they do reduced rates for older bikes( 2004 RT ) plus they will do the clutch fluid while they were "at it" and promptly quoted me £120 less and," would I like to go home for a couple of days on a nice new twin cam 1200 RT or would sir prefer the GSA"

I said to the very nice lady service person that I will come over when the snow and ice have gone ,she replies , "would you like us to pick up your bike and return it when done" ....NO CHARGE

Brand new van appears a couple of days later .All ready on board are 2 other bikes going for service one from Goole and one from Hull .

My bike will be back next Monday all done and ready for the trip to sarf of France later in the year

I do feel a bit of a turncoat for not going to Rainbow .However I may well buy a 1200 GSA later this year and will defo start with them :D
