Can anybody tell me why when at work accessing this site (in non-work time!!) I have the Nippy Norman, Autocom, Ram & Devon Rim at the top of the page, but from home only the Autocom & Devon Rim show?

More out of interest than anything else.

At home, are you using Firefox with the Adblock extension? Maybe you have inadvertently blocked those images.

For those who don't know, Firefox is the best browser in the world and it is free. It is the best for two reasons: 1) It isn't Microsoft and 2) It has downloadable extensions allowing you to change the functionality of the browser.

You will see that adblock is in the popular list. It allows you to right click on an image and, by trimming the URL, automatically ban all images from a particular site. Very cool.

Norton's firewall screwed me swiched it off and switched on the micro soft one and all is fine, I am not sure how this affects the security though

Seriously, I'm not sure I could trust Microsoft's firewall - to me it seems like putting a fox in charge of the chickens. Security is best when it comes from 3rd parties who have no confilict of interest.

I use and recommend Zone Alarm. Brilliant Fire wall and Free....FIND IT HERE

No, just IE with Zone Alarm, so I don't see (pun intended) why it blocks just those ads.

At home now, I only have Autocom, Devon Rim at the top of the page (there was a lot more than that at work).

On any of the postings all I have is the wording "Site Sponser" and no graphic thingy,

And some smilies work and some don't (but just to confuse me, in finglonger's fingy across his bottom, the first wave don't wave but the second one does)

Anyone got any clues?

Lee, it looks like you are only viewing cached images and not any new ones. Have a look around your settings and see if there is anything that says that.
