Bar Risers & Brake Lines

I've bought some of the risers from Jaws, but looking at the brake lines it all looks a bit tight. Is it a good idea to get some new/longer ones before fitting the risers?

I quite fancy some HEL braided ones, but I'm open to suggestions

If you're not happy then its a simple enough job.

Hel or Goordridge.. prices are about the same. bear in mind though that HEL come with stainless fittings as standard.. you have to specifically request these from Goodridge. But the final price for both is only pennies difference.

Easy enough to ask for the top line to be 30mm or whatever longer.. and they're unlikely to charge more.. Goodrdge didn't when I ordered mine. Price was same as for 'off the shelf'

I bought same from jaws. Worked great but fed the brake lines behind the raiser as opposed to on front of them. No probs 5000 mileslater

ive had the jaws risers with no issues
ive now got rox risers and they give a full 50mm of lift:cool

all that was needed was to to cut some of the cable ties and retie with the free play needed

Forgot to mention that I've a braided brake line on the front that's a little short. Also noticed my brake lines are not contained within the grip shields or whatever their called. Should I sell the bike? :{

it sounds like after market lines..what year is the bike, after a time BMW started fitting braided lines as standard mines an 03 with braided lines.

HEL will do single lines for about £30. Just ring them and say how long you need.
