Fitted wunderluct vario bar risers onto my adventurer told i dont need extended brake hose but hose is well tight.
I can get one made up but need to no how to drain down fluid and/fit and bleed.
it has abs not the later type. its a 2002.
is it difficult? thanks.

I would speak to that nice man Steptoe. He can supply and fit the hoses and won't rip you off like BMW dealers. Of course, he has other problems but we don't talk about them in polite company :D

Cheaper yet, reroute the current hose to the inside of the fork. No need to bleed, or buy a new hose, just unscrew the right fork leg at the top, slide it down (don't drop it!), and pass the hose through. Worked for me, total cost £0, time 5 minutes, tops.

Be careful - when the bars are turned, this causes the brake hose to flex in the same place continuesly, right at the join with the connector - i've seen quite a few of these hoses split at that join- ;)

No need, I'm back to the outside configuration, thanks to the Ricky Bars! :D

I circumvened the problem above by tightening the line under the tank. There were probably still some flex at full right turn, but I never saw any undue stress at the connector, at least not more than the original configuration. Nevertheless, it's good advice, if you have any concerns do buy a longer hose. Could be money well spent!

Brake hose extention problem solved.

Thanks for the advice . Took hose of today and took to THINK COMPONANTS. isleworth. Made up new longer hose in 10 minutes. £ 31 .good service and plastic coated hose as well.
