I have a 1200 GSA circa 2011. Are there any bar risers I can use that don't necessitate extending hydraulic or electric cables.

Thanks in advance for any advice from any one that has done this.

Yep plenty out there. I have just fitted some Radius Risers from Nippy Normans. No problem at all with cables etc and MUCH more comfortable than standard bar setting for me. Only issue is that there is a chance of the hand guard attachments on the handlebar touching the tank on full lock so a couple of rubber bungs on them so no issues.

Cost £79  but saw some in the for sale section for half that....well worth it.

Cheers

I put some on my 2006 GS, raise and pull back type, I did have to move the brake and clutch hoses to be in front of the forks rather than behind but this is simple via dropping the tops of the fork tubes down and moving whats reqd around - 10 min job, as yours is a GSA you may have more wiring so check you have slack but this could be moved around as well if needed

My GSA worked fine with risers that moved the bars about 2" above the standard GSA clamps. I had to reroute the throttle cable - a bit fiddly but not difficult.

They were for sale :D but now they await fitment to my GSA :comfort:augie

I was looking at the touratech ones. Seems like any risers shouldn't be to difficult to fit.

I put some ROX ANTI VIBE risers on my 2008GSA.

Fully adjustable and rubber mounted so no more numb fingers!

I just had to re-adjust some of the existing cable ties, but that was it. No change in cables, no problem with touching the tank, etc.

Cant remember what I paid - not cheap - but worth it:thumb2

Do a search if interested. I got mine from The Adventure Bike Shop.

I found the Rox worked on vibes when set vertical, but pulled back to a comfortable angle (for me) they hardly stopped the vibes at all.

Yep, had the same experience....they are now on my trail bike and work a treat.

Good stuff. Just a word of warning, once fitted very carefully move from lock to lock and see if you have any contact with the tank. If you do it will be minimal and if you look carefully on my pic you will see a couple of strips of clear plastic stuck to them.....these are self adhesive door protectors from halfords. I also cut the headstock cable tie for the clutch/controls for the Left hand bar....not totally necessary but does free things up a bit.

Cheers
