Local MG dealer at Newcastle (Motech) have this for sale , pre registered with 2 miles on the clock with a saving of £2000 on new (list for this bike with the rider assist is £15500). largenew.jpeg

I thought the standard / base model new for £10,500 was a better deal (ebay for the last x weeks)
Suspect come next March / April they won't be as cheap ???

Just done a deal today and swapped my 2024 Stelvio. I'd ridden the Stelvio and the Euro5+ V85 back too back for the last few months. It was a difficult decision but the V85 just pipped the Stelvio for my needs. Both great bikes.

Kawasaki Z900rs cafe and a Guzzi griso 1100. Some light restoration needed but rides lovely. Only about the 4th Japanese bike I've ever owned. I've sort of quite fancied a Z900, I did have one in 76. I'll run it whilst I'm looking for a mint Griso 1200 SE.
Retirement is immanent, so my bike fund money will dry up. I hope to end up with my 2 favorite Guzzi's, the V85TT and a 1200Griso SE. Then the 1100 griso which I can tinker with over time, sort of like a running restoration. Although knowing me it will be completely stripped within a few days of entering the shed and I'll end up spending a fortune on it.

OK cool. I had a 2007 1100 Griso for a couple years but never could quite get comfortable on it. Lovely bike though and it sounded nice with the Termi slip-on. I think a retro is nice to have as well, mine is a CB1100.

Bloody bargain after bargain when I am skint

What am I missing ? Would paying full figure for all the extras (which obviously you would not !) , on top of a Cash price of £10500 for the bike , not be over £2000 less than above ?.. yet you say "Bloody bargain" ...... Difference would clearly be less with the fancier model.

No UK list price is either £14,500 or £15,500 without any of the extras , also the dealer in question is a decent one with good customer service

I know exactly what the list price is !! ...... you are missing my point (a MG dealer is currently offering a new Stelvio for £10500) I'll give up now.

interestingly, the Stelvio is not offered at that price on their website. After seeing a photo on their website of about 10-15 Stelvios lined up, I suspect they have over ordered on the bike and are desperately trying to recoup some of their investment. I suspect they are trying to move them on at this price without Piaggio getting wind of it.

This dealer has been mentioned before ,however, if I was to buy remotely from the far end of the country at a discount should I expect my local MG dealer to drop everything when my bike needs serviced or warranty work . My cousin did similar a few years back wiith a Kawasaki from a discount dealer in the Midlands and it was a troublesome bike . Supplying dealers response was bring it back to us (250 miles each way) whereas the local Kawasaki dealer who had missed out on the sale did the repairs BUT it always went to the back of the queue for servicing and repairs behind their regular customers.
Having owned a very troublesome new BMW I was glad it was bought ftom a local trusted dealer who always looked after me properly including getting an extra years warranty from BMW (3 up from the then standard 2 years) to kerp the POS on the road and gave me a good trade in valuation when I eventually got shot of it .
