Had to get out of the house this morning so popped over to Peterborough for a nose round the BMF. Imagine my surprise to see a tank panel and beak for a 1200gs. Asked the fella how much and he says "it's a fiver mate", thought I'd misheard at first. Needless to say I snapped his hand off :beerjug:

Needs a small 1 inch crack repairing and then it'll get a respray in something different than the yellow my bike is in at the mo'. Now I just need to work out what colour.

I also picked up a new visor for my Roof Boxerhelmet for £25, a new bicycle helmet for my son for £5 and few bits and bobs. All in all a bit of a bargain day for me and got to do a bunch of people watching.

Only thing I paid full price for was a pair of books from Norman and Maggie McGowan called "Leprechauns in Alaska" and "Leprechauns in Latin America". Lovely people and it was nice to have a quick chat with the two of them.

I hear Pink is the new Black...

Read both books, thoroughly recommended, couldn't put them down. :thumb2

Actually, I do kind of like that. Orange and black are my colours too. Had them n my last bike, it's also the colours of my fletchings for archery.

As to the books, I'll be starting them this evening. Norman even signed them for me. Getting quite a collection now. they'll join;

The long ride home by Nathan Millward
Looking for America by Ian Mutch
Ghost Rider by Neil Peart
Long way round
Long way down
Blue Highways by William Least Heat-Moon
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance by Robert M Pirsig

I may have to set a special shelf aside on one of my bookcases soon :augie
