After a zero speed drop probably more a lay down while doing a u-turn I'm convinced my handle bars are now bent ( Jesus what are these things made of)
I was thinking of removing them & either replacing or trying to straighten them.

Any ideas of the cost of new ones or anybody recommend a better set & price of both.

Any help in removing & fitting would be great. The first bolt that's in the bar end doesn't want to move are these loctited in if so do they need heating?

Its a 4 month old 1200 with heated grips are these known to be this week?

Thanks in anticipation my old muckers.

IMHO I think I would be popping into the local dealer and checking they are actually bent, cos I have dropped my GSA so it ended up wheels off the ground laying on its pannier, crash bar and resting on the end of the handlebars with no ill effects.

Off course if you like to be seperated from your dosh.

Wot red rocket said.........but if like me and many other people you're not that happy with the OE bars there's plenty of after-market options. Do some searches here on the forum, there have been loads of discussions :-)

If your bars are bent then after-market bars will be a cheaper replacement and the likes of Renthal at least match the quality.

Renthal Bars - fitting OEM Bar end weights

.....you should find all the info you require for removing/replacing bars from the above links ;)

Unless you can see a bend in the handlebars, and it's just a feeling of one arm/hand further forward than the other - then it's more likely that the forks are slightly twisted.
Just like you did with push bikes, stand with front wheel between your legs and tug on the bars to straighten. ;)

Do you know what I wondered about that as I'm amazed if they could bend with such a low speed drop. But surely the fork set up is a bit different to a single bolt going through the head stock like on a bicycle.
Basically yes the right side looks slightly further back trying to eye it up across the tank while riding.

Looking at your list of bikes are you talking from experience

Have you checked your bottom yolk pinch bolts? As the sticky will show you, it's not safe to assume that they're tight! Mine weren't.
