Basecamp probs on my new Mac

Just bought my first Mac and am having trouble getting my detailed maps on Basecamp.

I keep getting a dialogue box pop saying"No Detailed maps found-You can enhance your user experience by plugging in a device with pre-installed maps or by purchasing maps on line"

I don't really want to have to buy the maps again.

I can view all my saved routes but not in any detail.

Do I need to install the mapsource disk or is there something else which I am obviously not doing?

Any suggestions folks?
