Bash plate, skid plate, sump guard, crud catcher - undercarriage for your boxer !

Whatever the darn thing should be called, I need one to protect the underside. Anyone bought a bash plate, sump guard or whatever it is called and what do you reckon?

It's a crud catcher and you can purchase one from cymarc! You can even choose between a sport or touring version.

I have bought the Altrider skid plate but I am waiting for it to arrive in the post. If you're patient (it might take a couple of weeks to make it from the US to Australia) I can provide my thoughts and tell you what I reckon. The photos on the Altrider website make it look pretty tough.

The crud catcher looks like it only protects the front of the engine, whereas that altrider plate looks like it covers the entire underbody - both look really sturdy looking forward to some pics when you fit it
TT do one similar and so does BMW looking into it. Does the altrider protect the catalytic converter
