With most new 1200cc Adventure bikes costing £12k - £15k (or more) the S10 is a real bargain at around the £10k mark.
The lack of electronic suspension is a bonus for me with less to go wrong and the availability of much higher quality units such as Wilburs / Nitron / Ohlins which can be had for the money you save, I would rather spend 30 seconds adjusting for a passenger and then have hours of riding a much nicer handling and more comfortable bike, than pressing a button to adjust the lesser quality OE kit.
I think the 50/50 purchase deal (50% now and pay 50% in 2 years)is still on which proves they are trying to shift them, they are good value but much like the Versys they seem to me to be the same machines as the smaller versions with a bigger engine slapped in, to me things like the handlebars and some frame parts don't look man enough for a 'big' bike, seats seem smaller and narrow (maybe I have a big bum)
probably do the job but the image on these bikes means a lot and next to a S10 or a GS they don't stand up, to my mind anyway.

Agree with you there rasher. I've seen the new 1000cc vstrom for £7500 Brand new ! They look a good bike and seriously good value too, but no one buys them for some reason. I guess we all have either blinkers on or are wealthy enough to not bother
Loads of great bikes out there for 10k......
The one in the window sold, went in today and brought it.
Nearly went for the dark blue very good price but sold out only Matt grey left at that price.

I'll have that off you when you sell it in a few months like you did with your previous ST10.![]()
