Just bought a new battery for my Yamaha RXS 100 6v but have no acid to go in it!

Where can I get acid from?

Thanks Fanum but...

I sort of need it sharpish like!

I,ve sold the bike and its being picked up on Sunday!

Another thing I bought the Battery from M&P over the internet and it arrived withiut the acid! Is this right or shall I go down to my local branch which is just down the road?

any local car tyre/battery establishment should be able to fill it for you for a nominal sum

Yuasa direct sales shop...

There's a nice little shop for direct sales to the public on the UK Yuasa headquarters site in Birmingham. They sell all things battery and and more. More fun than Cadbury's Chocolate World. I'll say...not half!

I did the same thing and was`nt happy as they make no mention of this in their catalogue.
I got them to collect the battery but it took them nearly three months to refund the money....shyte service in my book and they used to be so good.

Ladies and Gentlemen....Boundless has finally arrived on earth after a long trip from his Martian moon habitat......

A fully understandable, nay , easy to read and totally normal post!!

Clare has its supply of stone.
The stone cliffs of Moher,
The stone flags of Liscannor
The stone outside Dan Murphy’s door.

The stone region of the Burren,
Cradled a people skilled in the use of stone implements,
Seven thousand years from this
day of writing.

No wonder the people
that cradle a life in County Clare
Would be called the Bannermen.
It is the flags of Liscannor,
or the stony cliffs,
That strenghten a people
To lead the way.
"Come on the Banner,"
Is this the cry of the zealot or prophet.

Acid in the post. I'm pretty sure it's not legal to be posted.

My local chemist used to let me have some, no idea what the hell he used it for. Do you know any friendly bike or car dealers??

So there are advantages to being a chemistry teacher! -I buy conc sulphuric from the school suppiers and dilute it down to an sg of 1.26.

Should be able to get acid from a chemical suppliers. Cov is bound to have one - but often not open on Saturdays!

Buy a big cheap (unsealed) battery from Halfords, syphon off a likkle bit (but not sucking it up the tube  ) then take it back for a refund 'cos ' I've just noticed the level's low!'

:nono :nono :angel

Sorted!

Took the battery down to M&P and they wern't really interested.

Then took it down to local car accessory shop and they're not allowed to store it!!

Took it to Drayton Croft in Coventry and they not only filled it but charged it and checked it over all for £2 !! Bargin

Got it home went to put it on the bike and discovered it had the wrong connections! D'oh!!!

After some nifty wire cutting all was well and the bike was started.

6Volt battery just about squeezes enough juice into the indicators!

Who ever thought 6 volt was a good idea?

Anyway indicators now at least flash albeit slowly!!

Makes you think was it really worth the effort!!

Where me GS, a proper bike!!

Thanks to all
