Battery connections

under the identical panel, but on the left hand side instead of the right .... :thumb2

(I'm sure 'auxiliary' is the wrong term but you get my jist ... there for jump starting and charging I understand ..)

Tosh. The jump start point is accessible from the right hand side of the bike. As per P137 of the manual. It is just forwards of the the negative terminal of the battery as per photo at start of this thread.

Tosh ?? Who knows ... All I do know is that the + and - terminals under the left hand side panel (sigh ... as you sit on it ...) are just as easy, if not easier to get to, to jump start and wire additional extras to ....

Me thinks you are getting your left and right confused.

The pic in the first post of this thread is of the RHS of the bike and tallies with the manual.

Or maybe you are pished.

See, I said it was confusgion making, Giles.

I wonder if the OP has given up? He's got his (non-functioning) jacket to light up, so maybe he's happy? Either that, or his bike is a smouldering heap.

I have wired up two heated jacket sockets and an I phone 'winding roads' switched / fused charging unit on the LEFT (that's fucking LEFT !!!) hand side of the bike, and my Optimate charger from the right (battery) side .... :thumb2

left and right on any vehicle always refers to the person sitting in/on the vehicle.

.

That takes the worry out of which is the near side and the off side :D

Depends what country you are in methinks!!!

Maybe we should say it is under the left leg or the right leg......when facing to the front...(front is the pointed end with the window) !

So have you guys decided whether you have got battery terminals to connect things to on both sides or not yet ;-)

Right ....

Left .....

Left ...

And feckin' Left ... !!!!!
