Battery knackered

Sunshine and dry roads - "I'll go to work on the bike today" I said to the wife. Out to garage, turn ignition key, all display checks ok, but "klack, klack klack" from starter. Bugger, only used the bike recently, steering lock on, so everything shutdown. 2005 GS, so obviously due a visit to Nippy's website to order an Odyssey...........

Naw, got an Optimate, but only use it if I'm not riding the bike for more than 4 weeks. Have ridden regularly through winter, so its never failed to start (except when I first got the bike and left steering lock off), although I had noticed it turning over more slowly on cold starts over last three months. I'm just pleased it failed at home - least I had options!

Ordered new battery from Motorworks in the end........
