Battery is dead ...again

Anyone got any recommendations on what to get based on best performance. Don't want lithium (optimate won't work with it) and not bothered about cost...just want a decent quality option that won't die in 2-3 years.

Should I just go to halfords and get a yuasa battery for 100 quid or is their something better?

Thanks

Personally just keep getting a new one every 3 years if possible, I treat batteries like the lottery you never know if you are onto a winner, and if no alarm on bike, only put it on the charger every 2 months if bike has been stuck inside due to ice and snow.

If you got a lithium battery you shouldn’t need a battery tender as they don’t loose charge the way a lead acid one does. JJH

A member of this parish left his GS for 3 months without the battery on a tender. Allegedly it started on the button although coughing a bit initially.

Try halfords

Paid 60 with trade card for a slightly more powerful battery. Had to take foam insert out.

That is a good battery. The Halfords one is the same capacity and is YUASA.
Note on both of these batteries you are adding more weight and you will have to remove the foam batt support - but on the plus side your bike will have a larger capacity battery.

I fitted one of those to my former GSA and it spun it up a bit quicker than the oem one did. I know its for a HD, but its hidden in the batt box so no embarrassment :blast:green gri:D
