battery

the battery on my 1100gs in knackered i called to a few shops
but none have any in stock ive been given different advice
for gel battery types but when i enquired in the shop they said
that if there was a wet battery then thats all i could fit someone else said that this was bollox also the price i was quoted was €140 for a battery from BMW, i also know of a battery for €44 this is a np18-12b 12 v dont know if this means anything to anyone but i need advice .

THANKS SHUCKRAIDER i just got onto John in motoworks
and have a gel battery on the way, prior to that i had called
kevin o learys here in cork a bmw main dealer no less, but as this is the way things are done in cork they just know about cars and
motorcycles are second class citizens i think its about time bmw
stood back and had a good look at whose representing them
in ireland ive had dealings with them in the past with my car
and had no problems good service.But any time ive dealt with
them over bikes the lack of help and knowledge is astounding and when they say there calling you back and you dont hear for a couple of hours is in my eyes
DOWNRIGHTSHITSERVICEANDITPISSESMEOFF ,ESPECHALLY WHEN you can call england speak to a veryhelpful knowledgeable
man who sorts you out as they have done for years.
why o why cant bm sort out there shop in cork anyways thanks for the link. rant over gel battery on the way
