Well today was my first time back on the bike in 4 months, after my little mishap:blast

However after having the battery on charger, it wont store a charge and is goosed.

Can anybody recommend somewhere to pick up a new one. I believe an odyssey is a good replacement.

Thanks,

Damien

I spoke to Tim Molloy, €145:eek:. I can get one in Belfast for £90.

bitz for bikes in rochdale

61 quid

90 WTF?!?!!

i can help if ya not in a mad rush........

Thanks for the offer Hairnet but after a long break off the road I am mad keen to get out and get the photo rally finished, so will take the plunge.

I had the battery on an optimate but I have no idea how old it is. It probably doesn't help running a heated jacket off the tiddly alternator on the 80 either.

Slightly off thread I suppose ..SORRY

:(
When you get your new battery, keep it on one of these from Lidl's North & South on Thursday 13th Oct :thumb

May seem a stupid question, then again, for them that knows it may not...and I'm in the "knows fook all" category...but I have heard only today that the Odyssey battery will not be charged by a conventional battery charger but by a Cetek charger only.:nenau

Anyone out there confirm one way or the other as I have had fook all but problems with batteries and fekkin chargers this last 6 months.

After trying 5 Oxford Wankimiser 360T/380T's and every fekkin one showing faults like no display/faulty connections etc, my local dealer sourced me an Optimate 4. Got it yesterday BUT am told it will not charge a fekkin Odyssey battery.:blast:blast

If that is true, I wished I'd never bought a fekkin Odyssey.

Sorry for the language but I am ready to bin this fookin GS. Nowt but niggles this last 7 months but 6 years totally trouble free ownership of my Bird.

Thanks NI Phil, I had spoken to them earlier and thats who I am going to buy from.

Tinytim, I too know feck all, particularly about Canbus 1200's. Where you running the charger through the accessory socket or by a flying lead onto the battery. Straight to the battery might solve your problems.

Thanks for all the input guys.:beerjug:
