If you think they're bad, you should have tried Trailwings and if you thought they were bad you should have tried Avon SM or what were those tyres that MZs and CZs used to come with......Barum!
That's the trouble with you young lads who didn't grow up with old Pirellis and graduate to TT100s or Avon Roadrunners and develop a traction control in your arse - far too much reliance on the mechanical grip of modern rubber......

I didn't think they were that bad - better than the Conti Trails. But, nothing can compare to Roadsmarts for a pure road experience.... IMHO of course.

my previous gs was fitted with battlewings - just as good as conti trail attack or metzeler tourance in my opinion

Well there's a difference of opinion, cos I think my Trail Attack's are very good 
Considering there's a tiny 150/70 lazzie band fitted to the rear of my GSA

Don't fret. They get into their stride in the last 1000 miles in my experience. They are also very pressure sensitive. I loved Tourances but as soon as the wings are worn out (soon) it's Roadsmarts for me.
Damn right. I had Trailwings on my 1000 Strom and they were shocking in the wet. Spun up through into third gear in the wet, which was interesting.

Never had any scares on them. No problem scraping the footpegs and boots on bends and roundabouts which seems to be happening more regularly with the GSA . Cracking bike. Been on Silwerstone track with them and must say they warm up quickly, no issues there with roadholding or direction changes. Never been riding agresive in the rain so can't say what their like apart from making some progress and no problem on the brakes to slow down in the wet. Only got 7000mls out of them and will be trying Tourances exp due to be fitted next week.

I actually had no problems with the battlewings in wet or dry, I found them to handle very well in the dry and even managed to get the foot pegs scraping the road surface, not that I was trying too... but I had total confidence in them.
I've just purchased some Dunlop Roadsmarts, simply because of the raving reviews so ill see how they go
And I think the battlewings handle a dam sight better than the TCK's I have on at the mo... saying that they are 2 totally diffrent tyres for 2 totally different purposes
I guess it is just personal preference

Don't talk such wank. How come they do so well in group tests then? I've had a few sets and think that they are very good. Using Roadsmarts at the moment which are better for pure road use.
