Bavaria and back

You not visiting Cochem ?

First police car we've seen on the whole trip so far. Saw far more fire engines yesterday.

Very nice Bakery and cafe as you enter Roth, ideally placed after a couple of hours.

No Cochem on this trip, I haven't been yet. Many people sipping Rosé on the bridge at Würzburg last night in the evening sun. There was a shack flogging the stuff in fancy stemmed glasses.

Seeded pretzel with salami and cheese.

We're going to nip into Czech this afternoon for shits and giggles then we have more Austria to play with tomorrow.

Still cold, but of rain about.

Arrived at the Landhaus at Neuhof 4 near Zenting. Another 8 hour day of many different terrains. Started the day on open A roads down towards Nuremberg, after an hour turned away onto some fantastic smooth sweeping roads for hours, just followed Google. After the seedy roll stop we realised we were pretty close to the Czech border we were going to go in tomorrow but it gives us more options for tomorrow. So off we went, the afternoon became wetter headed towards Klatovy refuelled and then towards the hotel so we spent a couple of hours in Czech Republic which was a first. The route from Klatovy would have been great in the dry, big bends and woodland switchbacks, there you go can't have it all. It's interesting to see the obvious difference in the towns and villages either side of the border.

I'm afraid we didn't realise they don't use Euros in Czech so the petrol was an unknown price at the time, upon googling we now know it's £1.20 ish.

Indoor pool and an infra red sauna here which drove out the damp
of the day.

Husband and wife team, he's cooking dinner. WiFi works but no real signal here love it. Very peaceful and deer in the field opposite. It's geared up for bikers even kit for sale and covered parking. Beers good too.

Really enjoyed our stay at Landhaus, food and accommodation was great. Four meals with ice cream and nine beers and a glass of rose was €133.

We set off for Passau very pretty university town. First photo below. Rest are Landhaus.
