Having recently purchased a new to me 1150GSA I'm looking for a decent independent servicing centre in the South. I've come across Bavarian Bikes https://www.bavarianbikes.co.uk/ and I'm just wondering if anyone has any experiences - good or bad or can post any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

When I moved down this way (I'm just east of Southampton) I found Eric at ECM motorcycles and he's worked on my 1150GSA a couple of times. https://www.ecm-motorcycles.co.uk/. He's in Worthing and does a good job.

For anyone interested and if you fancy a chuckle to yourself on this fine Thursday morning, I decided to contact my local BMW Mottorrad dealer for a service quote... make sure you're sat down before reading any further on!

So apparently the older versions of the GS/A are much more difficult to service and there's far much more to do on them...




The gold Valet is of course optional but £1200!!!! Priced as they don't want the work?

Mind you I've been charged £1100 for a full valve service on my KTM, just last year.

A service on my 1200 is around £170 at BMW Manchester.

I know its more expensive down South, but bloody hell!
I would put Williams BMW on Chester Road, Manchester in your Sat Nav and take a trip up, still be cheaper even with a hotel!

I could get a bloody nice hotel as well for that price !!
