Anyone know the best place to buy one of these? BB are quoting 380 Euros for one which I make around £270.

Seems a lot.

Are there dyno charts for the BB chip? Thats a hell of a lot of money for a chip even considering the research etc.

I bought one of these chips for approx £20 to the door.

There are also these ones available too.

All of those are for the 1100s though. I will be getting my 1100 dynoed soon and will post the graph when I have had it done.

If yours is an 1150 Bob Southgate had a BB chip for sale a while back. Dunno if he sold it or not? Might be worth a PM?

Best,

Taipan.

yes :)

yes :(

I'll be interested in your Dyno graph, had mine dynoed before fitting the same chip as you. What else have you done to the engine?

Hey Taipan

Did the chip you bought make any noticable improvements and what other mods have you done, also what cat-code plug if any are you running. I have an 1100GS that I am thinking of fitting the same chip to as well as a Sebring can (no cat).

Cheers Graham :beerjug:

That looks like a bargain. Wish I spoke German I'd ask them if they've got one for the GS.

I've spoken to Bob, but his chip is for the single-spark 1150, sadly mine's a twin-spark which needs a different chip (or so BB say and I suppose they're the experts).

I was after the 1100 graph, isn't that the 1150 you have in the link?

sorry, i was a bit slow on the uptake there.

Hi Graham,

I have a Lazer exhaust on mine and yes the chip helped overall I think, but my bike is running rough due to me messing up the TB balancing with my duff carbtune. :o Plus it is running rich too I think. I need the CO resetting for the new chip, I guess?

So its hard to say how effective the new chip is. I need to get the bike to Steptoe for an accurate throttle body balance and a adjustment of the CO. Then i 'll get it run on the dyno.

I do have a big hole in the power between 4 and 5k which may be the throttle bodies out of balance? I certainly hope it isn' the chips remapping, or it will go straight in the bin!

My bike is a non cat version and i cant remember what colour plug is in there. i'll check later.

Best,

Dave.
