It's with great pleasure that I can announce the date for our first BBQ weekender as the 29th Sept 2012.
Plan is to ride up to moto-bnb in Mid Wales, fill our bellies with BBQ, drink some beer, tell some tales and enjoy the company of some fellow bikers. It will all be very informal, and undoubtedly you'll be asked to help with some cooking/burning of the sausages, cooling of the beers and cleaning of the dishes!
I'm sure most will enjoy a tipple to wash down the fodder, so we're also offering some accommodation in the holiday barns (www.holidaybarns.co.uk) and B&B (www.moto-bnb.co.uk) on site. There is clearly limited space, so you will need to reserve a room/bed prior to arrival. Options are as below:
The Cow Shed (2 showers, not en-suite):
Room 1 - Double bed.
Room 2 - King bed & single bed
Room 3 - 3 x single beds (you'll be close!) or 2 x single beds
The Hay Loft:
Room 4 - Double bed, en-suite
Room 5 - Twin bed, en-suite
Room 6 - Twin bed (will need to use either Room 4 or 5's shower or the Cow Shed shower)
Farmhouse:
Room 7 - King bed, en-suite
Room 8 - Twin bed, en-suite
Camping:
If the ground is sufficiently dry, we can accommodate some tents on a nice level, grassy area.
All linen/towels will be provided along with a toast/cereal tea/coffee/juice breakfast.
There is secure parking until the garage is full (approx 8 bikes) after which they can be parked under cover next to the house (3 or 4 bikes).
All accommodation will be on a first come first served basis, and I will work out some prices over the next couple of days.
Just wanted to get the thread started so people can start to plan - if people would like to come up on the Friday night and enjoy a Saturday ride around the Elan Valley, Snowdonia or Brecon Beacons, then we can offer accommodation for the Friday night too.
If you want to reserve a room, please contact Rik on 01686 440723 or 07780 506580 or [email protected] No reservations are definite until confirmed by Rik. Approx prices (to be confirmed) will be £35-40 per person per night and £10-15 per person for the BBQ.
Hope that's covered the essentials for now, any questions, please feel free to give me a shout.
Cheers,
Rik.
