BBQ ride out/stay in Mid Wales - 29th Sept

A plan? Moi?

A lot will depend on whether I stay in Cheltenham on the Friday night or travel back to S.Wales (bike lives in S.Wales garage)

OK Guys & Gals.... a rough plan!!!

Rooms as follows:
Farmhouse King e/s - Cookie & wife
Farmhouse Twin e/s - 2 wheel humvee
Farmhouse Single - Wessie
Hay Loft Double e/s - Oscar
Hay Loft Twin e/s - Alan Grace & wife
Hay Loft Twin - Allan Davies

BBQ - Can I suggest you arrive around 3pm'ish - this will give everyone a chance to freshen up, have a few cheeky cervecas and get the barbie cranked...... It's getting dark early these days, so we'll probably end up eating in the kitchen unless everyone wants the al fresco experience which can be arranged! How does everyone feel about having a late pm/early evening cook up, leaving us free to enjoy beer into the night! This may require more of a brunch type effort before you leave or a light lunch. Let me know the thoughts.

As far as food is concerned, is anyone a vegetarian? I'm thinking maybe some chicken kebabs, sausages and hopefully steak, salad, jacket spuds, corn on the cob...... Anyone particularly averse to any of these?

Beer - Can each of you let me know what your tipple of choice is, and I'll arrange the beers which will save you shaking them up on the bikes! Real ales, lagers, vino collapso or any other wants??

Breakfast
As there will be nine of us, I think it'll probably be easiest to offer simple bacon butties, cereal, toast, juice for breakfast - my poor little cooker won't cope with 8 brekkies in one go!

Right, Please try and get back to me by Weds morning if possible and I'll get everything ordered up and in hand. If everyone can just confirm they are still coming that'd be great..... I'll send another message with final details etc once I've heard back from people.

Looking forward to a good catch up..... probably won't be able to join you boys coming up from South Wales as I have some people in the night before so will have my cleaning pinney on!!!!

Ride safe.... Cheers, Rik.

i'll eat most things, but like proper beer. eg. anything dark by shepherd neame.

BBQ

Any Lager, probably just 1 as have to get home, and meat.

Can't stop over as Tracey on Nights.

cheers

Gerry H.

No problem with where to go.... once you're on your bike there are hundreds of excellent road and off road miles to be had just 10yds from the garage! Seriously though, you won't be short of a good run out - I can give you plenty of options depending on what you're after.... :JB

Final Details for Sat BBQ

OK everyone.... final details!

Arrive at the B&B at approx. 3pm on Sat. The weather will be fantastic I'm sure! :beerjug:

If you need directions, look up "Neuadd Ddu B&B" on Google Maps. It's on the A470/A44 between Rhayader and Llangurig. 6 miles from Rhayader on RHS, 3 miles from Llangurig on LHS. I'll leave my GS out front so hopefully you won't miss the turn-in.

Park up bikes in garage - please remember we will have 7 bikes in there.

Freshen up, get beer/wine in hand, fire up the barbie.

Have another beer, laugh, tell silly stories, and open another bottle of wine! :jager

Eat until the bellies are fit to burst, then wash down with a beer! :beerjug:

The menu is as follows per person:
Chips & Dips
1/4 Cheeseburger
Hot Dog (2 sausages)
Pork Loin Steak
Chicken Kebab
Sweetcorn
Baked Potato
Garlic Bread
Salad
Muffin/Eclair

A mixture of good real ales, lagers, white wine, red wine have been ordered, so hope you will enjoy!

Continue topping up the belly with a mixture of more food and beer throughout the evening until we've either had enough beer or eaten all the food!

Retire to bed, burp, fart and snore ourselves through to morning!

Bacon butties, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice etc for breakfast.

Depart full of cheer and having made new friends / caught up with old friends.

Costs will be as follows per night:

B&B single occupancy - £35
B&B twin/double - £60
BBQ £15

Please note I don't have card facilities here, so cash/cheque/direct transfer preferred if possible please.

Looking forward to it, will be nice to relax and see everyone.

Any problems, give me a call on 07780 506580.

Cheers,

Rik

PS If I've missed anything, please let me know.
